Frostbite Studios respects your privacy. This notice explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
Who we are
Frostbite Studios is a software development studio operated by Frostbite Companies Limited, based in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada. This notice explains how we handle personal information collected through frostbitestudios.ca.
What we collect
When you use the contact form, we collect your name, optional business name, email address, optional phone number, subject, and message. We store submissions in Cloudflare D1 (database `frostbite_contacts`) with a site source tag. We do not store your browser user agent, country code, or other request metadata with the submission. If you email us directly, we receive whatever you choose to send.
How we use it
We use contact submissions to respond to you, evaluate whether we can help, and keep ordinary business records. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to.
Our legal basis
We collect and use personal information on the basis of your consent when you contact us, and as needed to respond to your enquiry and meet our legal and business obligations, consistent with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Cookies and tracking
We do not run analytics or advertising pixels. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce spam. Cloudflare also keeps standard access logs for operational and security purposes.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share it with service providers who help us operate the business, such as our hosting provider, and only as needed. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Where your data is processed
The site is served by Cloudflare from its global network. Requests may be processed outside Canada. We rely on Cloudflare contractual and technical safeguards for cross-border processing.
Retention
Contact submissions are stored in a shared database operated by Frostbite Companies Limited and retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose you gave them, or for business, legal, or reporting requirements.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. You may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you are not satisfied with our response.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS on Cloudflare infrastructure. We collect only what the contact form needs and protect access to stored submissions.
Changes to this notice
When we update this notice, we change the date shown above.
